On Friday 18th March , Bexhill 1 travelled to Crowborough for a match. A match that would very likely have a strong bearing on who would win the league.
Unfortunately we were unable to field our strongest team as Janis had to pull out due to illness.
Crowborough are a very strong team with a player rated around 2000 on board 4 and proved to be too good on the night.
Andrew on board 1, John on board 3 and Derek on board 4 all lost, leaving Steve Blewitt as our only winner. It is now likely that Crowborough will win the league, but with three matches to go we are still in with a strong chance of placing second.
