{"id":2354,"date":"2025-11-24T13:52:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T13:52:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bexhillchessclub.co.uk\/?p=2354"},"modified":"2025-11-24T13:52:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T13:52:37","slug":"eastbourne-v-0-5-v-bexhill-v-3-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bexhillchessclub.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/11\/24\/eastbourne-v-0-5-v-bexhill-v-3-5\/","title":{"rendered":"EASTBOURNE (V) 0.5 v BEXHILL (V) 3.5"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>PROMISING STARTS CONTINUE,  STRENGTH IN DEPTH SHOWING<\/em> (Editor)  &#8211; BILL TRACEY&#8217;s match report follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">This local derby was played at Eastbourne on Friday 21st November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Eastbourne have made an excellent start in Division 4 winning 2 and drawing 1 of their first 3 matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Our team of&nbsp; Jo, Bill L, Michael and Alan came away with an excellent win by 3.5 to .5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Jo continued his fine early season form by winning on board 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Bill also continued his good form this season by winning with black on board 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Michael faced the\u00a0 Eastbourne captain and gained a good draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Alan on board 4 played at his usual high tempo and emerged a worthy winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">It is, of course, early days for the 5th team but 2 wins from 2 matches by a combined score of 6.5 to 1.5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">is a fine start and hopefully it can be maintained in our next match on December 5th at home to East Grinstead Bookshop.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROMISING STARTS CONTINUE, STRENGTH IN DEPTH SHOWING (Editor) &#8211; BILL TRACEY&#8217;s match report follows: This local derby was played at Eastbourne on Friday 21st November.
