{"id":830,"date":"2023-05-15T17:51:06","date_gmt":"2023-05-15T17:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bexhillchessclub.co.uk\/?p=830"},"modified":"2023-05-15T17:51:06","modified_gmt":"2023-05-15T17:51:06","slug":"bexhill-handicap-tournament-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bexhillchessclub.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/05\/15\/bexhill-handicap-tournament-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Bexhill Handicap tournament 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bexhillchessclub.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_9155-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-831\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a report from our chairman Bill Tracey on this years handicap tournament:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Saturday 13th May a Time Handicap Tournament was held for members of the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was fantastic to see an entry of 25 members which included 6 juniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was held as a 6 round Swiss with up to 7 minutes time difference between players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 3 hours of intense competition the results were as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3rd place went to our junior England player Andy with 4 .5 points from 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In second place was Phil, who made an excellent return to the club after being away working for 6 months.
