Thank you to everyone who came down and played in our eighth event of the Grand Prix season. Everything starts to get really interesting now that we are approaching the final few events.
Last night was a great battle, with England junior Luke Chapman coming out on top with 4/4. Second place was a four way tie between Rose, Janis, James and Jo. Congratulations to you all.
Sharon, Sam and Mick became the first players to earn a loyalty medal last night by playing in 8 events. Those of you who have already played in 6 or more events can still earn a loyalty medal by playing in the last two events in May and June.
Luke is still sitting at the top of the season’s table, with Sam in second place and after last night, James has taken the third place spot. James also is now sitting half a point ahead of Janis in the under 1800 section. Sam is still sitting at the top of the under 1600 section, but with Jo and Rose both scoring 3 points last night, they are hot on his heels! Harry is pulling away at the top of the under 1400 section, and John is also looking to be sitting clear at the top of the unrated section.
In other news, really great to have our chairman Bill Tracey back at the club last night after an absence with some health issues.
